Russia’s Defense Ministry has released a video clip of the interrogation of a Ukrainian prisoner of war, in which commanders threatened that anyone fleeing the war would face a detachment behind him and he himself would be shot.
It came at the interrogation of Ukrainian prisoner Dmitry Tarasyuk, who was arrested yesterday, Wednesday 25 May. Earlier, Maxim Guryanov, another Ukrainian detainee from the 95th Air Assault Brigade of Ukrainian forces, said in a video clip released by the Russian Ministry of Defense that 450 people refused to fight in Russia and were killed. He was taken from the battalion of Ukrainian ultranationalists. Nothing is known about his fate.
Guryinov continued: “Anyone who leaves their position will be shot immediately.” He noted that detachments of Ukrainian nationalists killed in the recession.
Vasily Nebenzia, Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations, told a UN Security Council meeting that Ukrainian prisoners said they had been ordered to shoot civilians to kill Russian soldiers, they could not capture.
