The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, assumed this Friday that the situation in the territory of Donbass is extremely difficult, but that the region will always be Ukrainian.
Zelensky considers that “the occupants try to achieve in less than 100 days of war the objectives that were set in the first days of the conflict“. To do this, they concentrated a large volume of artillery, missiles and soldiers in the Donbass.
If the occupants think that Lyman or Severodonetsk will be theirs, they are wrong. Donbass will always be Ukrainian, because this is us, this is our essence,” said the leader of Ukraine. “Even if Russia spreads destruction and suffering throughout the region [do Donbass], we will rebuild every city and every community. And there is not, nor will there be, an alternative other than the Ukrainian flag flying there,” he added.
The Ukrainian president also addressed, in his daily speech, the problem of food blockade in Ukrainian ports. “As a result of this lockdown, prices are rising, creating political chaos in the countries that depend most on our exports”, he concluded.
