One person was killed and at least two others were injured after being shot outside Xavier University in New Orleans on Tuesday.
The victims had just participated in an end-of-the-year ceremony for high school students that took place at that university, several local media reported.
The New Orleans police began by confirming on Twitter that they are investigating a “shooting” on the campus of that university, initially speaking of “three gunshot wounds”, transferred to the local hospital. He added that the suspect was arrested at the scene.

However, the local Fox crew in New Orleans spoke with a police officer, Christopher Goodly, who explained that an “elderly woman” actually died of her injuries and that two men were injured but not life-threatening.
Three people were detained for questioning, Goodly added. The same official says that it all started with an argument between two women in the university parking lot, which escalated and ended up involving firearms. However, the fatality would be just a passerby passing by.
