The Iranian news agency IRNA denied the reports of “some media outlets about the assassination of the commander of the Al-Quds detachment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, calling it “psychological warfare and false news.”

According to the agency, some media outlets, which it called “dissident”, announced the assassination of the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran, Colonel Ali Ismailzadeh, just hours ago, west of the capital Tehran.

Iranian opposition media claimed that “the commander of the Revolutionary Guards (Unit 840 of the Revolutionary Guards Quds Detachment) died suspiciously on Monday, May 30.”

Sources told Iran International that “Colonel Ali Ismailzad, a close associate of Colonel Hassan Sayyad Khodai, died last Monday after falling from the roof of his house in the Jahan Nama district of Karaj district, west of Tehran.”

The website states that “Colonel Ali Ismail Zadeh was taken to the hospital for civil martyrs in Karaj after he fell from the roof of his house, and after examination, the doctors issued him a death certificate.”
