However, he clarified that “the number of salaried employees is not changing significantly.”
“The number of employees is increasing, but the employees who are being paid remain unchanged,” he added in a tweet he posted on his Twitter account on Saturday.
The remarks came in response to a Twitter comment speculating that “Tesla’s staff will increase over the next 12 months.”
It is noteworthy that “a few days ago, in an email that Mask sent to Tesla executives, it was revealed that he intends to reduce the number of employees.”
“I have a very bad feeling about the economy and I have to cut about 10 percent of the company’s jobs,” the controversial man said.
He also explained in a message to employees last Friday that the leading electric car company, due to the fact that it is full of employees in many areas, will reduce the number of employees who receive salaries by ten percent, but at the same time stressed: the number of workers “It will increase by an hour.”
Tesla shares immediately fell 9.2% at the end.
It is worth noting that the company and its subsidiaries had nearly 100,000 employees by the end of 2021, according to information provided to US regulators.
