The couple, whose marriage proposal was ruined by an over-enthusiastic Disney employee, received a full apology from store operators in Paris, who expressed “regret” for the incident.
Last week, a viral video surfaced on Reddit about a man kneeling down while proposing to his girlfriend. In the background is the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle from the movie series.
In the middle of the sentence, a service man ran and grabbed the ring box from the man’s hand and took the couple off the platform.
“She said yes,” said the husband-to-be, leaving the platform.
“Yes, it’s great, but it will be better here,” replied the employee.

In the corner of the video, another employee is also seen pointing at the couple and asking them to continue.
Passers-by immediately started booing the employee. Others expressed their shock at that moment on social media.
In the comments to the Reddit post where the video was originally posted, users criticized a Disneyland employee for interfering.
“Not only did he put it down, the employee also snatched his wedding ring from his hand. It’s pretty high on my list of things I shouldn’t touch,” she said.
“Trying to find out if the man is happier by following the rules or spoiling the moment. Legitimately happy to ruin the moment,” wrote another.
The third wrote: “Holding the ring is insane and crosses all legal lines. My husband’s engagement ring is one of the most expensive things we own, and I would be furious if someone snatched it from my hand the first time I gave it to him.”
“We regret the way this has been handled,” a Disney spokesperson told Newsweek. “We apologized to the couple involved and offered to fix things,” he said.
