In a message addressed to the participants of the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin noted that “the forum is taking place at a difficult time for the entire international community. Long-term mistakes of Western countries in economic policy and illegal sanctions have led to a wave of inflation.” Global destruction of the usual logistics and production chains, a sharp increase in poverty and food shortages, but as always, along with challenges, prospects open up, which is why the motto of the forum (New World – new features).

He stated that “the twenties of the new millennium for Russia will become a period of strengthening economic sovereignty, while the country’s economy will maintain its course towards international cooperation.”

He emphasized that “the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will continue to make a significant contribution to the solution of priority tasks. He emphasized that it is in the common interest to stimulate trade and investment, encourage the joint development of technologies, strengthen financial markets and increase the share of trade settlements in national currencies.

From June 15 to 18, St. Petersburg will host the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is an effective platform for the exchange of views and experience between politicians, officials and representatives of the business sector from around the world.
