NATO conducts air drills in the air of the Baltic states

NATO’s air forces and its partner countries have begun conducting military exercises in the airspace of the Baltic states.

In a statement made by the Estonian Defense Forces Headquarters Press Service Center today, on Monday, it was said that the NATO Air Force exercises, called “Ramstein Alloy” and will last 4 days, have already begun, and the exercises have already begun. Its main purpose is to ensure the security of the airspace of the Baltic states, to conduct communications and procedures. In addition, training will be provided in communication loss, aircraft escort, and determination of search and rescue operations.

Finnish, German, Swedish, Czech, British and Turkish fighters will also participate in the exercises, as well as French and Spanish fighters assigned to Imari in Estonia and Siuljai airbase in Lithuania.

“Ramstein Alloy” exercises have been held 3 times a year since 2008, and NATO warplanes conduct periodic missions to protect the airspace of the Baltic states.
