Britain .. Prince Charles opposed the deportation of asylum seekers to Rwanda

Prince Charles described the British government’s plan to send asylum seekers to Rwanda as “horrible”, as opponents prepare a final court effort to prevent the first flight from leaving.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who will be attending the summit, welcomed the government’s victory at a session of the Supreme Court of Justice on Friday and gave the plan the green light.

“We cannot allow human traffickers to risk their lives, and our leading partnership in the world will help destroy the business model of these ruthless criminals,” Johnson said on Twitter.

But Charles has joined others, including Christian clergy, to denounce the plan and fears the issue will dominate the Commonwealth summit scheduled for June 24 and 25, The Times reports.

The newspaper quoted an unnamed source as saying that Prince Charles had confirmed that he was “beyond political failure”.

He added that the crown prince “said that the whole approach of the government was horrible”… He was clearly not affected by the course of government.

A spokesman for Charles declined to comment on what he considered a private conversation, stressing that the prince was “politically neutral”, adding: “Political matters are government decisions. ”
