US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken promised that the United States and its allies would respond quickly if North Korea conducted a nuclear test, but nevertheless stressed that the possibility of dialogue remains.

“We are in very close contact with our close allies and partners, starting with South Korea, Japan and others, to be able to respond quickly in case the North Koreans conduct such a test, and we are ready to do it as soon as possible. or long-term adjustments to our military posture as needed.”

But he reiterated that the United States “does not have hostile intentions towards the DPRK, so we will continue to maintain relations with the DPRK. We are committed to a diplomatic approach.”

Blinken’s statement came after he held talks in Washington with his South Korean counterpart Pak Jin, who also said his government was ready to negotiate with Pyongyang “without preconditions.”

Park expressed his confidence that “North Korea has already completed preparations for another nuclear test, and I think it is only waiting for a political decision, if North Korea dares to conduct another nuclear test, I think all it will gain is strengthening our deterrence as well as international sanctions.”
