Amber Heard’s spokesperson denies that the actress was excluded from the sequel to ‘Aquaman’

A spokesman for Amber Heard denied that the actress was cut from the second “Aquaman” film as a result of the lawsuit between Heard and her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp.

On Tuesday, a source connected to the film’s production told Just Jared that Heard had been withdrawn from the project, with the role of Mera now belonging to another actress. Other sources, however, later explained that the actress “wasn’t cut out entirely” from the “Aquaman” sequel, keeping “a small role.”

On the same day, however, a spokesperson for the actress sent a statement to Variety explaining that “the rumor mill continues as it has been since day one: imprecise, insensitive and a little crazy“.

“You can’t say it was fair.” Amber Heard gives her first post-trial interview

Amber Heard had played the role of Mera in the first “Aquaman” movie, as well as in the “Justice League” movie. During the trial against Johnny Depp, the actress claimed that she “had to fight very hard” to keep the role for her, due to the negative publicity of Depp’s “abusive accusations” against her. Still in court, Amber Heard said that she had received a new script for the sequel where she had been excluded from a fight scene, “significantly reducing her role”.
