Ukrainian authorities have arrested a government official and a prominent businessman suspected of being part of a Russian spy network, the State Security Service said.

The two main suspects, who were sitting in front of the Ukrainian flag, appeared in a video clip saying they had cooperated with Moscow, which launched its military operation in Ukraine on February 24.

Russia has paid between $ 2,000 and $ 15,000 to two suspects for each mission, depending on the confidentiality and importance of the information, the Ukrainian Security Service reported.

In the video, one person said he received $ 33,000 for his activities and another said he received $ 27,000.

One of them acknowledged its cooperation with Russia since 2016, and the other said that it has started this activity since 2019.
