The Israeli channel “Kun” reported that “the number of suicides in the Israeli army has increased over the past half year. Since the beginning of 2022, 11 soldiers have committed suicide, while at the end of last year, 11 soldiers committed suicide. In 2020, 9 soldiers committed suicide.
“The reasons for the worrying increase in suicides and their relationship to the corona and other variables are clear,” said Kanye. No meeting was held, but the leaders of the occupying army were instructed to redouble their vigilance.
The chief of staff also ordered the opening of a telephone line for the occupying Israeli army.
A spokesman for the occupying army said: “Every killing of a soldier is investigated with the aim of reaching the truth and drawing a deep conclusion, and this is what has happened in recent incidents.” He added: “After completing the investigation, the conclusion will be sent to the military court for investigation so that we can share the grief of the bereaved families.”
