Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced that “American HIMAR missile launchers have arrived in his country,” stressing that “these missiles will help strengthen the military arsenal” to counter the Russian military operation.
In addition, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed in a statement that “its forces in the east of the country are in great danger after Russian units surrounded the strategically important city of Lischansk in the Luhansk region,” noting that “Russian soldiers have captured the districts of Loskotovka and Rai-Aleksandrivka, leaving the Ukrainian units a tunnel 4 km wide for the withdrawal of miners from the Zolote area.
Meanwhile, the British Ministry of Defense said that “some Ukrainian units withdrew from the east of the country to avoid encirclement by Russian troops.”
It is noteworthy that the confrontation between the Russian troops and the Ukrainian military stationed in the east of their country continues to this day, and regarding the reality on the ground, the statements are contradictory, the fronts of hostilities are still united.
