Eagle Pass, Texas. More than 250 migrants were seen crossing the city in groups in an hour on Monday night.
According to Border Patrol agents, the group that appeared in the video consisted of about 100 people, with a group of more than 150 people just ahead of it.
As large groups mingled into the night, San Antonio officials worked to investigate the deaths of 50 immigrants who died after they were smuggled into a sealed tractor trailer near Interstate 35/Loop 410. Speaking to reporters about the tragedy, White House spokeswoman Carine Jean- Pierre, who flew with Air Force One, reaffirmed the Biden administration’s stance on the situation on the southwest border.
“The thing is, the border is closed and that’s partly why you see people trying to make this dangerous journey using smuggling networks,” he said.
Breitbart Texas continues to monitor the large numbers of immigrant groups entering the United States every day. Immigrant detentions and desertions continue to rise to record levels.
A CBP source told Breitbart Texas that more than 170,000 immigrants were detained at the southwest border in June. According to the source, less than a third were promptly extradited to Mexico under Section 42.
