Director General of the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that contacts between Russia and the United States of America regarding the resumption of manned space flights to the International Space Station are being conducted through the International Space Station’s Manned Cosmonautics Detachment. In a statement, he said: “This is specifically related to the negotiations that the government gave the green light to in its latest mandate. There was earlier communication between Roscosmos and NASA on this issue, and, accordingly, Roscosmos Cosmos prepared a proposal that was sent to the government.
Rogozin recalled that “Anna Kikina, the only girl in the ranks of Russian cosmonauts, is now undergoing training in the United States and will become the first Russian citizen aboard the American Crew Dragon spacecraft”, noting that Roscosmos is waiting for NASA “Proposals for candidates for the training of the reserve crew , in addition to previously announced astronaut Francisco Rubio.”
