The Palestinian Chairman called on the international community, led by the Human Rights Council, to launch an international investigation to uncover the truth about the killing of Palestinian prisoner Saadia Farajallah and what prisoners are being subjected to in occupation prisons.

In a statement, the Palestinian President held the Israeli entity fully responsible for the killing of Faraj Allah today while she was in Israel’s Damon Prison, stressing that she was subjected to deliberate medical neglect.

The statement stated that “Palestinian prisoners in occupation prisons are being subjected to torture and deliberate medical neglect, resulting in the death of 230 male and female Palestinian prisoners.”

The Palestinian Presidency reaffirmed: “The issue of prisoners is a priority for the Palestinian people and their leadership”, emphasizing that “it will not be allowed to harm prisoners or their families, regardless of pressure.”

Captive Faraj Allah, 68, from the old city of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank, died today in Israel’s Damon prison.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club blamed Israel for the death of prisoner Faraj Allah, noting that she had been subjected to the crime of “medical malpractice”.
