Six new allegations of misconduct by former Conservative MP Chris Pincher were reported in the British press on Sunday, days after he was suspended by the party for “groping” two men.
The new charges against Pincher, revealed by the Independent, Mail on Sunday and Sunday Times dailies, include three other cases in which the politician starred in “unwanted advances” with other deputies, like one that took place in a parliament bar and another in his own office more than a decade ago.
In February, one of the MPs who complained about Pincher’s conduct reportedly contacted Downing Street, the home and office of Prime Minister Boris Johnson, to report details of the incident, while expressing concern that Pincher had been appointed head of parliamentary discipline in Conservative Party MPs.
The parliamentarian said that he is seeking specialized medical support, but that he has no intention of resigning.
Last week, “The Sun” revealed that Pincher was drinking at the Carlton club, one of the oldest and most exclusive in the British capital, when he harassed two guests on Wednesday.
Pincher, who resigned as the party’s chief of discipline, radmitted that he had “drank too much” and that he was ashamed of what he had done.
Pincher first entered the House of Commons in 2010 and, before being one of those responsible for the discipline of party formation, he was Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
pincher was the Vice President of the Conservative parliamentary caucus and considered close to the Prime Ministerwhose government has already been rocked by a series of sex scandals.
