By the last week of June, at least four of the eight Himars—the long-range M142 missiles—promised by the United States of America will have arrived in Ukraine.

On Monday, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry released footage of what appeared to be missile launchers firing from a road somewhere in the Zaporizhzhya region. Although there is no confirmation of where they left from, the city of Melitopol, occupied by Russian troops, was eventually “neutralized” by Ukrainian troops.

Since the beginning of the invasion it has been known that Ukraine cannot match Russia when it comes to armaments even with the help of the West and thus try to attack ammunition stocks in an attempt to weaken the enemy.
“This is a solid way that should work as long as the Russians don’t use precision-guided munitions, because the way they use artillery they can’t help but have ammunition dumps,” a Russian researcher told The Telegraph.
Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Zagorodnyuk, who participated in the talks on the acquisition of weapons from the West, reveals that the Himar are an “excellent team”. However, when asked if eight of this M142 missile system, which has a range of up to 500 kilometers, would be enough, he says: “The short answer is no, absolutely not enough. We need dozens of them.“.
kyiv has received a lot of Western weaponry, but it does not seem to be enough. Recent deliveries include M777 howitzers and Himars missiles from the US, Caesar 155mm howitzers from France, multiple M270 missile launch systems from the UK and Bushmaster armored vehicles from Australia.
