The consequences of the American billionaire Elon Musk’s decision to cancel the purchase of the social network Twitter, which was announced on Friday, continue.
Two people who attended the annual Sun Valley conference revealed that Musk avoided discussing the details of the collapsed Twitter deal, but instead argued only about fake accounts on the platform.
While addressing a group of top businessmen, the Tesla owner had a lot to talk about during an interview on Saturday.
The source added to Reuters that Musk spent most of his time talking about Mars and extolling the benefits of an increased birth rate on Earth.
It is worth noting that Musk attended a conference organized by Allen & Company, the annual gathering of CEOs of media and technology companies in the state of Idaho.
This came less than 24 hours after he announced that he was canceling his $44 billion deal with Twitter to buy Blue Bird, citing that the social media company did not provide information about fake accounts on its platform.
Twitter shares fell 6% in after-hours trading after the news was announced.
Notably, the American billionaire had threatened to stop the deal unless the company provided evidence that fake accounts made up less than 5 percent of users who saw ads on the social media service.
