The Turkish newspaper Zaman reported that “more than 740 people in Turkey were injured while trying to slaughter victims on the occasion of the blessed Kurban Bayram”, noting that “they arrived at Turkish hospitals in the cities of Düzce, Bolu, Zonguldak, Karabuk, Sakarya and Kocaeli .And two parties, while some citizens slaughtered their victims on the first day of Eid al-Adha at the slaughterhouses proposed by the municipalities, and some of them in the gardens of their houses and in suitable places.

And she stated: “Some butchers and citizens who made sacrifices in Sakarya were injured by knives and blows from animals, and the injured who went to emergency services on their own and by ambulances were discharged from the hospital after treatment.”

The Zaman newspaper reported that “on the first day of Eid al-Adha, 271 people were treated in Kocaeli, 47 people in Duzca, 44 people in Bolu, 30 people in Zonguldak, 25 people in Bartin and 17 people in Karabuk, who were wounded with knives and blows from animals.
