Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz indicated that “Tel Aviv will update US President Joe Biden during his visit to Israel this week about the progress made in establishing what he called a regional military alliance against Iran.”

Gantz noted at the graduation ceremony at the National Security College that “the first security issue to be addressed is the fight against Iranian aggression and Iranian nuclear efforts, as well as the preservation of Israel’s operational capabilities for self-defense, in addition to establishing many relations of cooperation,” The Times of Israel reports.

He indicated that “the Israeli defense establishment will take on the task of developing this cooperation in the coming years as the main deterrent” of what he called “Iranian aggression in the region.”

Gantz announced last month that “Israel is building an air defense coalition in the Middle East led by the United States, arguing that the coalition has already thwarted attempted Iranian attacks and that it can draw more strength from Biden’s upcoming visit to the area.”
