Russian Ambassador to Algeria Igor Belyaev confirmed that “work is underway to form a new strategic document reflecting Algerian-Russian relations.”

And the Algerian President’s statement reads: “President Abdelmajid Tebbun received Belyaev, as the latter paid a farewell visit after the end of his duties in Algeria.”

In his statement, Belyaev said: “It was an honor for me to meet with Abdelmajid Tebbun today on the occasion of the end of my mission as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Algeria,” adding that “during the interview, Algeria thanked the leadership and people for all the means, support and support that I received during the performance of my duties.

He pointed out that “the current situation in bilateral relations has been reviewed, which has advanced and developed significantly over the past five years and has reached the level of an in-depth strategic partnership”, noting that “the most striking evidence of this is the ongoing work to develop a new strategic document reflecting Algeria’s Russian Relations.
