According to the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, an elderly woman died tragically after falling into a pond near her home in Florida, USA.
The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, fell into an alligator-filled pond near her home at the Royal Boca Golf and Country Club in Inglewood, the source said.
He added, quoting the Sarasota police station: This incident happened on Friday night around 8:00 PM.
Investigators said that while the old woman was trying to survive above the surface of the water, two crocodiles were seen swimming towards her and then grabbed her without giving her a chance to run for her life.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene while Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission specialists removed the alligators from the pond.
The woman’s death is the latest in a series of recent crocodile attacks in the southern United States, which has seen a number of similar incidents in Florida and South Carolina in the past two months.
