The government of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson received a vote of confidence, as before.

349 deputies voted against a vote of no confidence in the government of Johnson, who recently announced his intention to resign, and 238 deputies voted in favor.

For its part, the opposition Labor Party called on Johnson to resign immediately “to be replaced by an interim leader until the Conservative Party chooses his successor in early September”.

Labor sought a vote of confidence in both the government and Johnson in an attempt to get him to resign early, but the government objected, saying “it’s not necessary because the prime minister has already said he’s leaving” then the Conservatives offered a vote of confidence in the government .

The British prime minister announced last week his intention to step down from his leadership positions in the party and the prime minister amid a series of crises that have led to the resignation of dozens of ministers and their aides in protest at his handling of the government.
