Embraer delivered 32 aircraft in the second quarter of the year

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, which delivered 32 jets in the second quarter of 2022, 11 commercial and 21 executives (12 light and 9 medium), the company announced on Monday.

In a statement, Embraer highlighted that it has already delivered 46 aircraft in 2022, a total that corresponds to 17 commercial aircraft and 29 executive aircraft.

Embraer’s firm order book ended the second quarter of the year at 17,800 million dollars (17.3 billion euros), the highest level since the second quarter of 2018.

According to the company, the result was driven by new sales of aircraft and services, a growth of 12% compared to the 15.9 billion reais (15.5 billion euros) registered in the same period of 2021.

Referring to the agreements signed between April and June, the Brazilian manufacturer highlighted that it has received orders for E-Jets from the Dominican company Sky High, which will operate two first-generation E190 jets.

In June, Embraer noted that it “signed a firm order for the conversion of up to 10 E-Jets into cargo aircraft (P2F, passenger to cargo, in English) with an undisclosed customer.”

“The aircraft will come from this customer’s current fleet of E-Jets, with deliveries beginning in 2024.. This is the first firm contract for the conversion of E-Jets, being the second agreement for this type of operation”, added the Brazilian company.

In another contract, announced in May, Embraer and Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC) agreed up to 10 conversion positions for E190F/E195F jets.

Also in the second quarter of 2022, Embraer Defense & Security delivered the last modernized AF-1 fighter aircraft to the Brazilian Navy.

Embraer is the world leader and manufacturer of commercial aircraft with up to 150 seats and has more than 100 customers around the world.

The Brazilian company maintains industrial units, offices, service centers and spare parts distribution, among other activities, in America, Africa, Asia and Europe.

In Portugal, Embraer continues to be a shareholder of OGMA – Aeronautical Industry of Portugal, with 65% of the capital, in Alverca.
