US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken indicated that “in the coming days, for the first time since the start of the war, I will speak with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and we will discuss several documents, the most important of which is the recently completed grain agreement.”

Blinken noted: “I will also talk to Lavrov about the Americans detained by Russia,” adding that “Russian President Vladimir Putin failed to occupy Ukraine, and the latter will remain independent and sovereign.”
