The Turkish Defense Ministry said that “Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kobrakov the issue of shipping sane grain to Ukrainian ports.”
“The parties welcomed the opening of a joint coordination center in Istanbul. They also exchanged views on preparing for the start of grain shipments this week and continuing mutual support and coordination in this regard,” the statement said.
Earlier Wednesday, Istanbul hosted the opening of a coordination center to ensure the safe shipment of grain from Ukrainian ports.
Noting that on July 22, 2022, under the patronage of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan between Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the United Nations. The agreement guarantees the safety of exporting grain stuck in Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea (Eastern Europe) to the world.
