White House press secretary Karen Jean-Pierre said the US administration currently has no plans to arrange a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Washington.

And she explained in a statement: “U.S. President Joe Biden is in regular contact with Zelensky, and we have no plans for his trip to the United States of America that we can announce.”

Earlier this month, former U.S. Congressman Tulsi Gabbard pointed out that “I have repeatedly asked the U.S. leadership about the ultimate goal that the U.S. is pursuing in the Ukraine crisis, but the White House is evasive,” noting that “The White House says Zelensky makes decisions, and the United States will follow him.”

She stressed that “the most important foreign policy issue our country has faced in the last sixty years is not the responsibility of the Congress or the president of the United States, but the responsibility of a foreign head of state”, asking: “What does the transfer of our sovereignty mean, does the president of another country mean if I don’t change?”
