The Turkish Defense Ministry said that the Liberian-flagged OCEAN LION vessel will depart this Tuesday morning with 64,720 tons of corn from the port of Chornomorsk to South Korea and tons of sunflower from the port of Chornomorsk to Istanbul.

Ukrainian grain is transported from Ukraine’s Black Sea ports as part of a “food deal” signed by Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN on July 22 in Istanbul. This agreement provides for the abolition of restrictions imposed on the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets, and also specifies the procedure for the exit of ships with grain from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea through special humanitarian sea lanes.

The first ship with Ukrainian grain left the port of Odessa on the morning of August 1 and arrived in Istanbul in the evening of the next day.
