Rep. Liz Cheney, a Republican, lost her party’s race for the state’s nomination to a candidate backed by former US President Donald Trump, but she vowed to “do whatever it takes” to ensure May he not reach the White House again.

Harriet Hageman’s victory in the Republican nomination comes amid speculation that Trump will run again in the 2024 US presidential election.
