Russia revealed the details of its bombing in the suburbs of Zaporizhia!

On Sunday, Moscow confirmed Ukrainian reports of bombing sites near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, but gave different details.

According to the report of the Russian Intelligence Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s warplanes targeted the factory workshops belonging to the “Sich Motor” company, where helicopters are being repaired in the Zaporizhia region of southern Ukraine.

This news agency quoted the ministry as saying that Russian forces destroyed a fuel storage facility in the Dnipro region of Ukraine that was supplying fuel to the Ukrainian army in the Donbass region.

According to the Associated Press, previously Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of bombing civilian areas located in front of Europe’s largest nuclear power plant.

According to the Associated Press, Valentin Reznichenko, the governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, said that heavy clashes last night caused power outages in some areas of Nikopol.

The development comes amid fears that war there could destroy the station and cause a radioactive leak.

And last week, Ukrainian authorities began distributing iodine tablets to residents living near the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant to take in case of exposure to radiation, which can cause health problems.

Much attention has been paid to the cooling systems of nuclear power plant reactors. These systems require electricity to operate, and the plant was temporarily shut down on Thursday due to fire damage to a power distribution line.

Failure of the cooling system may cause a nuclear meltdown.

The United Nations Atomic Energy Agency tried to agree to send a team to inspect the plant and help make it safer.

Officials said preparations are underway for the visit, but the time has not been announced.

Russian forces took control of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant shortly after the start of the war and took control of neighboring territories along the left bank of the Dnipro River.

In contrast, Ukraine controls the Right Bank, including Nikopol and Maranits, two towns about 10 km from the station.
