The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad of Algeria, Ramtan Lamamra, conveyed to the President of Egypt Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi a message from the President of Algeria, Abdelmajid Tebboun, to attend the 31st Arab Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Algiers on May 1 and 2, 2022.

On this occasion, he conveyed his sincere greetings and desire to continue working with him to strengthen bilateral cooperation and consolidate the year of political consultations and coordination between the two fraternal countries.

For his part, Al-Sisi expressed “high appreciation to Tebbun”, commending his “efforts and efforts to ensure the success factors of the upcoming Arab summit”, highlighting his desire to “participate and personally contribute in support of these efforts to ensure that this important the Arab achievement has been crowned with results that are at the level of the aspirations of the Arab peoples.”

The meeting reviewed the historical relationship between the two countries and peoples as both sides expressed their satisfaction with the new dynamic of bilateral cooperation in light of the decisions made by the leaders of the two countries during Tebbun’s visit to Egypt earlier this year. The most important issues of common concern at the Arab, international and African levels were also discussed, especially the latest developments in the regional neighborhood of the two countries.
