German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht stressed that “the progress that Ukraine has been able to achieve in recent days, especially thanks to German weapons, is encouraging.”

At a press conference, she pointed out that Kyiv’s counterattack “shows how important it is to quickly put other military equipment at Ukraine’s disposal,” announcing “the dispatch of two new Mars-2 launcher systems and 200 missiles.” Ukraine will also receive 50 Dingo transport vehicles for various tracks.

Lambrecht emphasized that “we are still able to defend NATO and the country, and it is important to me that our allies in the eastern wing can count on us to keep our promises.”

At this stage, Germany does not intend to supply Ukraine with Leopard 2 tanks, although Kyiv insistently demands the supply of such vehicles.
