An armed man opened fire at a school in Russia, in Izhevsk, and made 15 dead, including 11 children, and 24 injured (22 children)according to those responsible for the investigation quoted by Reuters (update at 14:24).
The man in his early 30s, identified as Artem Kazantsev, entered the school where he had once been a student, wearing a black t-shirt with a red swastika on the front.
After shooting the two security guards, students and teachers, the shooter killed himself. The man was registered in a health institution for neuropsychological treatment.

Vladimir Putin has called the incident an “inhumane terrorist attack” “allegedly committed by a member of a neo-Nazi group,” according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by the state news agency TASS. The researchers are looking at the potential link to Nazi ideology, but so far no evidence of such effect.
An earlier report by the TASS news agency, citing an investigative commission at the scene, said five children were among the fatalities. According to the same source, the shooter would have committed suicide after attacking school number 88.
School 88 in the city center of Izhevsk has a school community of about 1,000 students and 80 teachers. Alexander Khinshtein, a deputy, added that the man entered armed with two pistols and a lot of ammunition.
