Russian President Vladimir Putin, during the signing ceremony of the agreements on the accession of the Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to the Russian Federation, announced that “Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions have become Russian regions”, noting that “the accession of the Four Regions to the New Constitution of the Russian Federation expresses the popular will of millions and points out that “the choice of millions of people in these regions is carried out after the catastrophe of the collapse of the Soviet Union.”

He emphasized that “the residents of Lugansk and Donetsk have become Russian citizens forever after being subjected to many years of blockade and hatred,” noting that “we will do everything to protect our lands, and the Kyiv regime must respect the will of the people. “

The Russian President believed that “the West took off the mask and wanted to force us to make authoritarian decisions, weaken us and return us to the years of the Cold War.”

He also saw that “The West wants countries and entities to give up their sovereignty, and is even willing to use terrorism to their advantage”, adding that “The West is abandoning its security commitments, violating its commitments and pursuing deceit by claiming that upholds the laws.”

Putin stated that “Moscow is ready to return to negotiations with Kyiv, but will not cancel the results of the referendums in Lugansk, Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Kherson”, pointing out that “Russia is a great country, and we will not accept to live on the basis of falsified international rules.”

He stated that “the West has no moral right to dictate its will when dividing the world into civilized and wild countries, and Western colonialism in previous eras was against humanity and thereby put an end to assertions about the supremacy of Western values in the world,” and continued: “He declared partnership with Russia, but his actions show that his view of us was colonial.”

The Russian President noted that “the United States and Great Britain have turned countries and cities into ruins, and Washington has left corpses in many countries,” demonstrating that “the West is producing biological weapons and using people in Ukraine as testing grounds.” added that “Washington is pushing for sanctions against Russia and is pressuring Europe to give up Russian energy resources to dominate them.”

He emphasized that “carrying out sabotage and explosions on gas pipelines in the Baltic is one of the means of confronting Russia, and the West gets the benefit,” and explained that “Europe is accepting new American colonial plans, and the West is targeting our partners and neighboring countries.”

He believed that “The West does not back down from spreading false propaganda against us, but these lies will not warm the Europeans in winter”, noting that “The West wants to classify us as enemies, and Europe does not want a practical solution to the energy crisis. After World War II, the United States was able to impose the authority of the dollar on the world,” adding that “Russia is aware of its responsibility to the international community and will do everything necessary to bring the West back to its senses.”

He emphasized that “it is force that will determine the political future in the world, and the future is the struggle for our people and for the great historical Russia,” and added: “The choice of the peoples of Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye is a victory with the Russian homeland.”

At the end of his speech, President Vladimir Putin signed agreements with the political leadership of the Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions on joining the Russian Federation.

And the Russian authorities confirmed: “99 percent in Donetsk, 98 percent in Luhansk, 93 percent in Zaporozhye and 87 percent in Kherson support joining Russia.”
