Meanwhile, according to Oman News Agency, the Sultanate of Oman announced that the American citizen was transferred to Muscat to prepare for his return to his country.
Last week, the United Nations announced that Baqir was allowed to leave the country for medical treatment, and his son, who had been detained in Tehran, was released after a request by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
