In recent suicide attacks, the Ukrainian army is losing hundreds of soldiers per kilometer of its advance in southern regions, which has been a question mark for military analysts.
The reason for it was mentioned by the American newspaper Financial Times in an article based on the testimony of military officials in Washington.
It can be summed up that Washington will push Kyiv with full force towards an offensive battle in the south before the onset of winter if it wants to prevent Russia from consolidating its position in the region, the newspaper wrote.
U.S. officials say Ukrainian forces must “take back control of the south” before winter sets in, as snowmelt in the fall makes the fight more difficult, with priority given to those on the defensive.
The newspaper wrote that American officials say that more control of the southern regions will also be necessary for possible talks between Russia and Ukraine.
