Energy stability was precisely one of the topics discussed by Zelensky during a phone call this Friday with the President of the European Commission. Several European countries have already announced that they will donate generators to Ukraine to help it get through what is expected to be one of the most difficult winters. French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna revealed that they will send 100 generators, a response to Russia’s strategy of turning “winter into a weapon of war.”

Prague Mayor Zdeněk Hřib said that the Czech Republic will send 626 heaters to the kyiv and Mykolaiv regions. 84 generators will arrive from Latvia and 40 from Romania.
Russia’s strategy of bombing energy infrastructure, particularly since October, has been described by Ukrainian authorities as a war crime, drawing strong condemnation from Western allies.
