Moldova’s national energy company, Moldelectrica, said Monday that the country’s electricity system is being disrupted after a new wave of missile attacks Russians against neighboring Ukraine.

In accordance with the action plans of the Chisinau Ministry of the Interior (MAI), the Border Police has intensified patrols and raised the alert level in the Briceni and Ocnita area in northern Moldova.

“A new wave of missile attacks is taking place in Ukraine, which also has direct consequences for our country“, reacted the Prime Minister of Moldova, Natalia Gravilita.

“Both my colleagues and I are doing everything possible to keep the situation under control and not allow risks to the population,” said Natalia Gravilita.
