Search finds more confidential documents at another Joe Biden home

Searches by the Justice Department of another of the US president’s homes found classified material from his time as a senator and Obama’s vice president. The case should not stop Biden’s candidacy.

A new search by the US Department of Justice of one of the US President’s residences found six more items, including documents classified as confidential. This material was detected at a residence in Wilmington, in the state of Delaware where Joe Biden was a senator between 1973 and 2009. The information was provided by the president’s lawyer. In a statement released Saturday night, Bob Bauer clarifies that there is documentation from the time when Biden was a senator, but also from when he was Obama’s vice president between 2009 and 2017.

The legal action took place on Friday and lasted more than 12 hours. In addition to documents and other classified material, personal handwritten notes from the current president were also collected. Joe Biden and his wife were not present during the search, despite allowing Justice Department agents full access.

The discovery should not stop the announcement of the new candidacy

The controversial discovery of confidential documents in the residence and office of the US president, Joe Biden, should not affect the announcement of his re-candidate for the White House, scheduled for February, evaluated political strategists and allies of the Democrat.
