The stagnation is over. Germany has officially confirmed the shipment of 14 Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine. This is a “historic” decision, described the German Defense Minister, anticipating that the tanks should be operational in about three months.
Hours later, the United States also announced the shipment of 31 state-of-the-art M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, on the day Volodymyr Zelensky celebrates his 45th birthday. President Joe Biden confirmed the supply of the equipment to kyiv after talks with the French president, the German chancellor, the British prime minister and the Italian prime minister.
