The Heads of State of Spain, Italy and Portugal will be present at the XVI COTEC Europe meeting, whose motto is “Innovation and Sustainable Financing”.
This Wednesday, Parliament unanimously approved the trip of the President of the Republic to Palermo, in Italy, between June 26 and 27, on an official visit to participate in the XVI COTEC Europe meeting.
This year’s meeting, which will take place on June 27, has as its theme “Innovation and Sustainable Financing” and will be attended by three heads of state of the COTEC countries —Portugal, Spain and Italy— and will take place at the Teatro Massimo, in Palermo, Sicily.
According to the initiative page, the three COTEC organizations and their partners will carry out “a high-level reflection on the role of innovation in financing the transition towards a sustainable industrial and economic model —climate adaptation, material efficiency, circularity— of Public policies and the competitiveness of companies”.
COTEC Europe meetings are held annually in Spain, Italy and Portugal, on a rotating basis, and, according to the organization, “their main objective is to provide founding representatives or associates of COTEC organizations in the three countries the opportunity for reflection and dialogue on common problems and specific needs of the companies and economies of the three countriesin the European context.
The XV meeting of this organization took place in May of last year, in Braga, and had as its central theme “Culture in the Innovation Meeting”.
In Portugal, COTEC (Business Association for Innovation) encompasses multinational companies, large national groups and Small and Medium Enterprises, in various sectors of activity.
