Following Musk’s repeated refusal to remove profiles of people under investigation for posting anti-democratic messages on the social network, Brazilian Supreme Court Judge Alexandre de Moraes ordered X’s suspension in Brazil as a precautionary measure on August 30.
Some Brazilian users of the social network also celebrated the restoration of access to the platform, with several stressing that they were not using a virtual private network, known as a VPN, to access X.
Alexandre de Moraes imposed a fine of eight thousand euros on anyone who uses a VPN or other location concealment service to access Xwhich has around 20 million users in the country.
