Ukraine attacks a factory in Russia that is one of the largest suppliers of explosives to Moscow’s forces.
Ukrainian forces attacked a military explosives factory on Russian territory with drones overnight, according to Russian officials cited by Reuters.
Russian air defense intercepted 110 Ukrainian drones flying over Russia, the country’s Defense Ministry said. One of them flew over the Moscow region, 43 over the Kursk region and 27 over the Lipetsk region.
The drones targeted Ya. M. Sverdlov, a state-owned company in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region.
The factory is “one of the largest explosives factories used by Russian forces” in the war and is under US and EU sanctions.
Residents in the region reported intense explosions and white smoke around the factory.
