Israel claims it destroyed Hezbollah facilities in Beirut

Nearly two dozen Israeli army strikes have destroyed Hezbollah’s weapons depots and workshops in Beirut. The Lebanese army announced the death of three soldiers.

The Israeli army said Thursday that it attacked several warehouses and weapons workshops belonging to Hezbollah during Wednesday night’s attacks in southern Beirut.

“All of these sites are set up by Hezbollah under and inside civilian buildings in the center of inhabited areas,” he added.

A total of 17 attacks destroyed several buildings and caused a large explosion on Wednesday night, according to the Lebanese state agency..

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army said Thursday that three Lebanese soldiers, including an officer, were killed by Israeli fire in southern Lebanon, not far from the border with Israel.

“The Israeli enemy attacked members of the Lebanese army in the vicinity of the village of Yater, (in the region of) Bint Jbeil (south), while they were carrying out an operation to remove the wounded, resulting in the death of three martyrs . , including an officer,” the Lebanese army said in a statement.

This attack brings to 11 the number of soldiers killed by Israel in Lebanon since the start of the ongoing war against the Hezbollah (Party of God) movement on September 23.
