Kim spoke Friday in Pyongyang, during a conference of military commanders and instructors, in a speech made public by North Korea’s official KCNA news agency.

Kim did not mention the roughly 11,000 troops that Ukraine and some of kyiv’s allies say North Korea has already sent to Russia.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Sunday in Darwin, northern Australia, that the United States has not yet seen “a lot of fighting” by North Korean troops in Ukraine, but that he believes it will happen “soon.”

Kim argued that the three seek to form an “Asian NATO” while dragging members of the Atlantic Alliance and other allies into the region.
