A few months ago, news spread about Ahmed El-Zein’s (1944) retirement after a long creative career. But the Lebanese actor refused to deny the news, stressing that he was on hiatus and currently not thinking of ending his career. The Ibn Al-Balad star explained that he was physically tired after suffering a health crisis two years ago and that he was saddened by the death of his wife, but Al-Zein was not leaving the camera during this time.

In this context, Al-Zein will appear in a special edition of Bait Al-Qased hosted by Zahi Wehbe at Al-Mayadeen (next Saturday, 21:00). After a nearly 60-year career, Al-Zein spoke about his creative journey and memories of Arabic and Lebanese dramas. The actor flips through the pages of his rich archive and compares works today and yesterday, and also addresses the status of drama in general. An honorary episode, the protagonist of which will be everyone’s favorite artist, to be transferred between the radio and the big screen.
It is noteworthy that El-Zein appeared last Ramadan in two works simultaneously: The first is the TV series To Die 2 (scripted by Nadine Jaber, director Philip Asmar, producer of Eagle Films/MTV Shaheed). The second is Shadow of the Rain (written by Fathallah Omar, under the direction of Shadi Zeidan), which is currently on display in Al-Manar.
