American toy company Mattel has announced the release of a new version of the Barbie doll, which resembles the famous English primatologist Jane Goodall, as well as the most famous animal she has studied, a chimpanzee named David Greybeard.

The doll, which Mattel said was partially used in making recycled plastic materials, wears traditional clothing worn by the researcher: a beige shirt and shorts, along with binoculars and a small blue notebook.
As for David Greybeard, the chimpanzee conducted his first research and first found out how species handle tools.
“I always say that women don’t just want to be movie stars or celebrities,” Goodall said in a commercial for a Barbie doll. He added that “many of them, like me, like to work in nature and study animals.”
This version of Barbie is the latest in a series that Mattel wants to celebrate with female symbols and inspirational names.

The company has made dolls that look like tennis star Naomi Osaka and Sarah Gilbert’s co-inventor of the coronavirus vaccine, Sarah Gilbert, as well as an anonymous robotics engineer.
His idol, according to Goodall, is “Tarzan plus Dr. Dolittle ”and then mentioned that“ no women can achieve what I want to achieve… so all my dreams are embedded in male characters. ”
The researcher also addresses girls who want to achieve successes, saying: “Walk in nature, learn to love and protect it.”
