Poll: Highest percentage on record say financials worsen under Biden

According to a Harvard-Harris poll in May, most voters say their finances have deteriorated under President Joe Biden.

The majority, 63 percent, believe the country is on the wrong track. A year ago, in June 2021, 53 percent said the country was on the right track, showing growing positive sentiment towards Biden’s presidency.

Similarly, 68 percent specifically say the economy is “on the wrong track.” Only 17% of Independents, 10% of Republicans and 47% of Democrats think otherwise.

Moreover, Americans point out that this deplorable situation is directly related to them. More than half say their financial situation has deteriorated – 56%. That’s the highest rate reported in the Harvard-Harris poll, and represents a 23 percent jump from the 23 percent who said the same thing last year.

A harsh reality comes as Americans continue to grapple with out-of-control inflation in Biden’s America as commodity costs continue to rise and parents of young children try to find solutions to fill the country’s baby food shortage. At the same time, gas prices continue to break records daily, with the national average hitting an all-time high of $4.60 on Thursday.

Quinnipiac University Survey exit At the end of March, it was found that more than a third of Americans were cutting markets to buy gas, with the average price of gas at about $4,225:

While Biden may have strayed, not all Americans believe it, as he continues to blame Russia for rising prices and inflation instead of his own bad economic policies, and tries to undermine America’s energy independence. According to the survey, the majority, 41 percent, directly blames high gas prices on Biden’s economic policies.

He also asked the respondents:As a result of rising gas prices, have you reduced your food costs to pay for gas or not?

More than a third, 35 percent, of Americans said yes, they need to shrink markets. Party-by-party, 46 percent of Republicans said they should cut grocery shopping, while 22 percent of Democrats and 36 percent of independent voters said the same.

Voting took place May 18-19, 2022 with 1963 registered voters.
